If you just received your diesel diagnostic laptop, this step-by-step guide will walk you through your first connection so you can start scanning, resetting, or performing regen procedures with confidence.


πŸ”Œ Step 1: Connect Your Laptop to the Truck

  1. Plug your USB diagnostic adapter (USB-Link 3 or Nexiq) into your laptop.

  2. Connect the other end to your vehicle’s diagnostic port (usually 9-pin or OBD).

  3. Turn the key to the ON position β€” ignition on, engine off, with all dash lights illuminated.

  4. Open your laptop and locate the correct diagnostic software icon on the desktop.
